Personal Information we do collect:

Anyone can visit our website with or without a registration of an account, but to use our service need a registration of an account. When someone visits our Website, uses our services, gives any reply to ads or other content, we collect  automatically the information sent to us by your computer, mobile device, or other equipment that provides access, We collect standard information about our users which are:

  • Search
  • Device ID
  • Device type
  • Browser type & operating system
  • IP addresses information
  • Information that you provide at the time of registration such as your name, address, image, email address, telephone number, or other information provided.
  • Data related to the dates and times of visits
  • Search history for better feedback on similar services

Listing Rules

All members should be familiar with and stick to the Listing Rules below to ensure a pleasant and consistent experience for all site users.

Banned items:

You must ensure that your participation in the swapping of items or services does not violate any applicable laws or regulations and immoral in the eye of society.  By this we mean that you must check that you are not prohibited from doing so by any law or regulation. In particular, you may not swap property which requires a written contract, which is illegal, immoral in the eye of society,  which requires a licence to buy or sell (for instance firearms, alcohol or pharmaceutical drugs etc) or which requires you to obtain an export licence.

Listings that are for “free item” affiliate or pyramid schemes are considered spam and are banned from the Green Barter’s website. Any user found to be posting this type of listing may have their membership suspended or terminated as a direct result. Green Barter reserves the right to administer a charge of BDT.500 to any member for removing each post of this type.

Listing removals:

We remove listings that break our Listing Rules – the most common are listed below:

  • The listing contains items that are banned from being listed or requested on the Green Barter
  • The listing is a repeat listing of the same item but in an irrelevant category.
  • The listing is of the type that says ‘see main ad’.
  • The listing contains abusive language or unacceptable images.
  • The listing is in the wrong category or section of the site.
  • The listing is posted more than once.
  • The listing is misleading.
  • The listing infringes the copyright or trademark of the copyright holder’s exclusive rights.

How we use your personal information

Update or Modification to this Policy:

  • As per the requirement we may from time to time update this privacy policy and accordingly you will be notified.
  • We encourage you to occasionally review this page for the latest information of our privacy policy.

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To provide you service using email/ telephone
  • To contact you by email, send a notification, text message, or call to phone to inquire about our service.
  • To provide you with other information or services as per your request.
  • Share your information as required with companies who will provide services to aid us with fulfilling your requests.
